Design Development Studio : Fall 2014

Design Development studio focused on analyzing an existing design, suggesting modifications, and implementing the changes through the design development phase. 

A World War II memorial located on the foothills of Goritzia Italy, originally designed by architect Alessandro Sachet, was the focus and basis of our design. 

A complex underground system was added to the concrete megastructure to unify six different "shards". With the addition of underground programmatic spaces, structural supports were further researched in detail, and specifications were finalized.
