JRC Visitor's Center

Italy Study Abroad : Fall 2013
Collaboration: Graham Billings, Thuy Duong Nguyen
Critic: Ted Krueger
The Joint Research Center (JRC) located in Turin, is the center for in-house scientific research of Europe. Following their new initiative to educate and collaborate with the public, a visitor center was designed to enhance public interaction, and provide public education.
The aim of the visitor's center was to provide a restaurant and cafe space accessible to the employees, as well as provide information and education in a child friendly atmosphere. The structure is a symbolic gesture to link the JRC and European citizens.
